Sorry I’ve been a bit out of touch the last week or so. I haven’t had my laptop handy, and I was busy getting ready for my vacation!
This is my third time in Los Angeles, CA, and it honestly is so much fun each and every time I come to visit. My sister Dominique moved here two years ago, giving me the perfect reason to skip out of NY every now and again. My friends back home tell me it’s been 18-25 degrees the last few days. I’m more than grateful for the sunshine!
Just wanted to share what I’ve been up to so far! I’ll be out here for the next week and a half, so expect a flood of pictures & videos 🙂
SATURDAY – VALENTINE’S DAY <3
My Valentine this year was sunny, beautiful Santa Monica Pier! My sister, my best friend Lisa and I spent the day relaxing on the beach & enjoying the rides on the pier. There were so many couples out, you could feel the love in the air. But, in general I enjoyed the laid-back Cali vibes & gorgeous views.
I’m so embarrassed but I totally fan-girl’ed when we bumped into Harold Perrineau, who was in The Best Man, and played Michael Dawson in the series Lost, one of my absolute favorites of all time! He was super sweet & his daughter is beyond gorgeous!! She hopped in the photo with us lol
After the pier, we spent hours shopping on the Third Street Promenade. My bank account took a hit, but with all the sales & cute shops, it was so worth it! Here’s a view of the Promenade at sunset.
We capped off the night with a delicious Thai dinner date at Natalee Thai in Culver City, LA. Below is a shot of me and my sister Dominique! All in all, a great Valentine’s Day! 💕
SUNDAY – FEBRUARY 15th
Today was a bit all over the place. More shopping of course, and touristy things because, why not?!
I popped into one of my favorite boutiques, Lola Shoetique in Downtown LA. I usually order online, but I could not pass up the opportunity to visit the storefront & drool over their gorgeous selection of shoes! & grab a quick mirror pic 😉
Stopped for a quick In-N-Out fix near Hollywood Boulevard. A DoubleDouble Burger & Animal Style fries = <3
Hollywood Boulevard was packed! The Oscars are next week, so the production crew already started setting up portions of where the fan area will be for red carpet arrivals. It was near impossible to move around. But I did stumble upon two of my favorite stars in the process! Jack Nicholson & Michael Jackson.
I was trying so hard not to laugh, but it’s really really hard for me to make that West Coast symbol LOL
After the Hollywood Boulevard strip, we checked out the Louis Vuitton Series 2 Exhibit nearby in Free City, LA. It featured an artistic display of the creative process behind the iconic fashion label, and a preview of the next phase in design for Louis Vuitton. Super dope!
I can’t wait to share more with you guys! Wherever you are, I hope you’re staying warm & having fun! Much <3 #whatchristinesaid
Let’s keep in touch!
